In the game industry, video game testers tester or long-term policy of quality control are virtually the group that receives little or no credit in the industry. These people work hard near the end of development every time a new game is about to be released (also known as gold status), especially on big budget, as Metal Gear Solid 4, Halo 3, Gear of War and so on. What do these people is to ensure that these games are working properly before it hits stores.
They test for things like are the characters who speak the right languages, making this weapon is the proper amount of damages, is / are / the character (s) too weak or powerful, is the game crash if it lasted too long, and testers, and so have to try all kinds of things when they their hands on a beta version of a new game that is about to be released. Now what we have for you is a list of some types of test done to a game every time it hits beta state.
- Functional Testing: This is what is usually considered as proof of gaming. This type of evidence is enough playing through the game from start to finish, doing everything and anything you can do in the game to look for errors and faults that programmers have to go back and fix before or after (via patches) the game is released.
- Localization Testing: This type of testing is performed in order to ensure that the text of the play and dialogue has been translated correctly in the correct language in the country the prospect of the game is being released in. This usually requires the tester to know in one or more languages other than their mother tongue.
- Soak tests: Tests AKA lazy man. This type of testing is fairly made, leaving the game runs at the title screen, in pause, or have the running game, but without user interaction. This type of testing has been completed in order to rounding errors or memory leaks, which over time occurs and results in strange behavior or game / system instability.
- Ad-Hoc Testing: Testing out the plan. A test plan for a game is based on the design document and functional specification for the game - it's how the game should work. The real players, however, do not know the way right to play the game, nor often care. They'll play however, wants or can, what you'll discover the errors that are outside the plan. An important part of the quality control testing of any product should be ad-hoc testing by an experienced tester and creative, we think of all the ways to exploit the system combine power-ups, run the character where there is apparently no reason to go, stop smoking when they should not, and so on.
So that's just a few of the types of tests as a tester of gaming experience. There is much more than that, and believe me you will experience all of them at least once. Are there any Wii games or Nintendo GameCube on which to build and manage a theme park?
Rather have said a gamecube because the games GameCube are cheaper now.
I have a game like this. It's for the Wii, and is "Thrillville: Off the Rails". You can choose a character to play as the principle (which makes a big difference in who you choose, the voices, etc.) and can continue to make more parks (there are 5 parks that may have, if I remember bad) and you can add pre-built roller coasters and race tracks, or you can design your own. A bit like Roller Coaster Tycoon, only instead of aerial view, your character walks in the park and mingle with the guests, and you can ride your own rides and play mini games and stuff.
