Instead of my normal routine review I've decided to give you, my few but faithful readers, a staple of video game journalism ... The list. That is, compa! With Halloween right around the corner I bring my favorite horror games of all time to help you in search of candy, wear costumes spirit. Thus, without further ado, let's get started!
10.) Splatterhouse (TG16-1990): Lateral displacement Gorefest gallons of blood provided courtesy of arms wielding, mask-resistant boyfriend of a girl kidnapped. Although the game is 18 years old, is still cited as a prime example of early horror and reason to dust off their TurboGrafx-16.
9.) Maniac Mansion (NES-1987): A group of kids stumble upon a creepy mansion which leads to one game most innovative adventure late '80s. The use of multiple endings, scripts creative and selectable characters with unique capabilities of this NES game if you're looking for a good scare and a challenge.
8.) Manhunt (PS2, Xbox-2003): A hidden in the shadows and find creative ways and disgusting to run crazy band members is fun. The dispatch of his victims while a creepy voice whispers words of encouragement in his ear murderer makes it a memorable piece history of horror.
7.) Zombies Ate My Neighbors (SNES, Gen-1993): The game was offered cartoons and weapons, as six-packs and toy guns, but the cries of the fallen victims and chainsaw wielding madmen still chills my spine. Scare factor aside, offers Zamna solid game that's still relevant in today's market.
6.) System Shock 2 (PC-1999): In the early days of the first-person shooters, nothing stood out more than second installment of Electronic Shock Arts's "system" in series. Wandering through a spaceship inhabited by infected people do to one of nail-biting adventure.
5.) BioShock (X360, PC-2007): Walking through the underwater city of Rapture redefined the horror shooter. With scenes of scripts, insane and monstrous villains Big Daddy, "BioShock" is a must play for those of you who do not enjoy sleeping.
4.) FEAR (PC, X360, PS3-2005/2007): Alma, Alma, Alma ... that clever boy. That girl creepy comes around every corner make sure that every action-packed shooting is a relaxing FanFest compared with the stress it causes.
Eternal Darkness 3.): Sanity's Requiem (GameCube, 2002): The game can be summed up in one word ... "Madness." This innovative action game continually messed with his mind showing the failures of driver error, messages from the memory card, or just your character's head fall. Pure genius!
2.) Dead Rising (X360-2006): You're trapped in a mall full of zombies and nothing in sight can be used as a weapon to crush, kill or destroy them. The global environment open-esque moments and classic zombie title from Capcom made this rock-solid choice for lovers of undead everywhere.
1.) Resident Evil 4 (GameCube, 2005): Looks like Capcom tops the list, and with good reason. RE4 improved in everything that went wrong in the previous titles in the series and unprecedented graphics to a system that was used only for cartoon plumbers. Since the release of RE5 is drawing ever closer, we can only wait anxiously to see what that the Umbrella Corporation will later.
